Powerful Pitching Performance From Alexyn DuBois Carries Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Past Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball By GameChanger Media Alexyn DuBois struck out 13 batters as the pitcher led Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets past Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball 6-0 on Monday. DuBois surrendered one hit and zero runs over seven innings while walking none. Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets got on the board in the third inning after Amanda Ley homered to center field, scoring three runs. Avary Durussel took the loss for Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball. The pitcher went five innings, allowing six runs (zero earned) on six hits, striking out five and walking one. Ley drove the middle of the lineup, leading Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Boys Golf Impress at Napoleon Jamboree

Yesterday afternoon the comets traveled to Gauss’s Green Valley for the boys varsity golf Jamboree hosted by Napoleon. Once again they brought home a team victory along with an impressive overall 1st place medal finish in individuals by Bristen CeKander shooting a 39. The boys continue to prepare for the conference championship next Tuesday at Ella sharp park.

The Girls Middle School track and field team delivered an outstanding performance at the Blackhawk Invitational in Leslie, earning a 3rd place team finish with a total of 96 points.Field Events Start Strong:High Jump: Lilah Laughlin took 2nd place.Long Jump: Taylor Dick claimed 2nd with a leap of 12’7”.Shot Put: Bella Crabtree secured 1st place with a throw of 31’4”.Dominant in the Running Events:4x800 Relay: Collins, Lauren, Emery, and Ellie powered to a 2nd place finish.55 Hurdles: Braelynn Miller earned 3rd place.200 Hurdles: Braelynn came back strong to win 1st place.4x200 Relay: Taylor, Braelynn, Maddox, and Jaila placed 2nd with a personal record time of 2:01.60.200 Meter Dash: Taylor Dick took home 2nd place.800 Meter Run: Ellie Swihart claimed 1st place.4x400 Relay: The team of Ellie, Emery, Kenadee, and Collins closed the night with a 1st place finish and a personal record time of 4:49.The Lady Comets now set their sights on Regionals next Monday, May 19th, at Concord. Boys Middle School Track at Leslie Invitational

Tonight the Hanover-Horton Middle School Boys Track team competed at the Leslie Blackhawk Invite. The boys team placed 4th with a score of 93. In field events Swihart took 3rd in Polevault and Henry was 3rd in Shot Put. For the running events, the team of Marshall, Toteff, Jakubas, and Jurasek finished 2nd in the 4x800m, Poegel was 3rd in the 55m Hurdles, and Marshal was 2nd in the 1600m. Hamisfar took 2nd in the 70m and Jurasek was 1st in the 800m. The final medals were won by Marshall and Jakubas, going 1st and 3rd in the 3200m. Our next meet is the Zone 2 Regional Meet, hosted by Concord, next Thursday, May 22nd.

Halle Swihart Drives In 4 To Lead Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Past Belleville Wildcats By GameChanger Media Halle Swihart drove in four runs on three hits to lead Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets past Belleville Wildcats 10-0 on Saturday. Boys and Girls Track Teams Win the Cascades West!

Both your boys and girls track teams are Cascades West Champions after an easy defeat against Addison last night. To end our regular season, the girls won 80-44 and the boys won 87-40. Shoutouts are in order to JJ Russ - 1st place in the 200m with a PR that earned him 4th place in our H-H All-Time Hall of Fame. Braden Cogan gained over a 19 inch PR in Shot Put and almost a 12 foot PR in Discus earning 3rd place in both events this meet. And Chelsea Russ for willingly hopping into Shot Put and 300m Hurdles (taking 2nd in both) to help us secure our victory. Our next meet is the Conference Championship where we will go against all teams in our conference this Friday. Go Comets!

High School Golfers Impress at H-H Jamboree

The boys varsity golf team hosted the Hanover Horton Jamboree at Arbor Hills golf course yesterday afternoon. With another impressive performance by Hoyt Wrona and Bristen CeKander both tying for first place in individual scores, rounded out by the always consistent and contributing John Wallbaum and Ian Knoblauch to win the team matches as well!
