The Girls Middle School track and field team delivered an outstanding performance at the Blackhawk Invitational in Leslie, earning a 3rd place team finish with a total of 96 points.

Field Events Start Strong:

High Jump: Lilah Laughlin took 2nd place.

Long Jump: Taylor Dick claimed 2nd with a leap of 12’7”.

Shot Put: Bella Crabtree secured 1st place with a throw of 31’4”.

Dominant in the Running Events:

4x800 Relay: Collins, Lauren, Emery, and Ellie powered to a 2nd place finish.

55 Hurdles: Braelynn Miller earned 3rd place.

200 Hurdles: Braelynn came back strong to win 1st place.

4x200 Relay: Taylor, Braelynn, Maddox, and Jaila placed 2nd with a personal record time of 2:01.60.

200 Meter Dash: Taylor Dick took home 2nd place.

800 Meter Run: Ellie Swihart claimed 1st place.

4x400 Relay: The team of Ellie, Emery, Kenadee, and Collins closed the night with a 1st place finish and a personal record time of 4:49.

The Lady Comets now set their sights on Regionals next Monday, May 19th, at Concord. Come out and support your team as they continue their remarkable season!
