Halle Swihart’s Clutch Hitting Propels Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets To Victory Over Vandercook Lake

Halle Swihart drove in four runs on three hits to lead Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets past Vandercook Lake 16-0 on Wednesday. Swihart hit a home run to left field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the first inning, scoring two.
Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets won thanks in part to 16 runs in the first inning. Swihart doubled, scoring two runs, Tori King was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Ryley Manning drew a walk, scoring one run, Maddy Sauber singled, scoring three runs, Ava Smith singled, scoring one run, Alexyn DuBois singled, scoring one run, Swihart homered to left field, scoring three runs, Manning drew a walk, scoring one run, and Sauber singled, scoring three runs.
DuBois earned the win for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. The righty gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking none. C Riddle took the loss for Vandercook Lake. Swihart and Smith each collected three hits for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. Sauber collected two hits for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets in two at bats.
