Powerful Pitching Performance From Alexyn DuBois Carries Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Past Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball

Alexyn DuBois struck out 13 batters as the pitcher led Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets past Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball 6-0 on Monday. DuBois surrendered one hit and zero runs over seven innings while walking none.
Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets got on the board in the third inning after Amanda Ley homered to center field, scoring three runs.
Avary Durussel took the loss for Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball. The pitcher went five innings, allowing six runs (zero earned) on six hits, striking out five and walking one.
Ley drove the middle of the lineup, leading Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. DuBois led Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets with two hits in four at bats.
Rebecca Clark led Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball with one hit in three at bats.

Alexyn DuBois With 4 Hits As Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets Beat Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball

Alexyn DuBois collected four hits in four at bats, as Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets defeated Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball 11-6 on Monday. DuBois singled in the fifth inning, doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the second inning.
Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Halle Swihart singled, scoring one run, and Tori King grounded out, scoring two runs.
Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball tied the game up in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball tied the game at three on a single by Rebecca Clark.
Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Avary Durussel doubled, and Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets committed an error, each scoring one run.
Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets took the lead, 6-5, in the top of the fourth thanks to singles by Swihart, and King.
Durussel homered to left field on an 0-2 count, which helped Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball tie the game at six in the bottom of the fourth.
In the top of the fifth, Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets broke up the tie when Haley Applegate singled, scoring one run. Then a single by DuBois followed to extend the lead to 9-6.
DuBois earned the win for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. The pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over four innings, striking out seven and walking none. Durussel took the loss for Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball. The right-handed pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two. Amanda Ley led things off in the circle for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets. The starter surrendered seven hits and five runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two.
Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets tallied 15 hits in the game. Swihart, Applegate, Holly Zantop, and King each collected multiple hits for Hanover-Horton Varsity Comets.
Clark and Durussel each drove in two runs for Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball. Durussel led Manchester Lady Dutch- Varsity Softball with three hits in four at bats.
